Spring is shoehorning itself in and New England is among the places where a note on the weather is considered to be a conversational topic so throughout the city it’s big news.
Yesterday, it all started with a crazy delicious turkey Club at Becky’s, in Portland, and then during the wonderful Michigan game it was BLTs with the superior bacon of Father’s, from Kentucky, and then, much later, it was lobster, toro and asparagus, and Japanese rice with morels.
I mean: Talk about Spring!
Why, even the dogs are on high olfactory alert on walks that amount to pulls and tugs.
Up ahead, it’s going to be mushroom week: Morels and hedgehogs arrived from Oregon and we’re talking grilled cheese, pasta, and broths.
