It started, the new year, just before 9 A.M., about three hours later than usual for me. A walk with the Bernese mountain dogs and a return to the kitchen for belly lox and “pastrami” salmon on a poppy seed bagel with horseradish cream cheese from Russ & Daughters.
A broken printer and a tech call with “Kevin” from HP in what may have been Bangalore.
Another walk.
Scrambled eggs with creme fraiche and white truffles on the docket.
I’m waiting patiently for 2014 to kick in, and of course it will, and, hey, maybe the waiting is the start.
Tonight it’ll be linguine with white truffles.
Resolved.
